One of the most hotly-anticipated female-led action films of the year, Hustlers follows a crew of savvy and ruthless businesswomen. The cast is spearheaded by the uber-talented Jennifer Lopez and is based on the 2015 magazine article “The Hustlers at Scores” by Jessica Pressler which featured in New York Magazine. If you enjoy a little female screen empowerment masked by action and money making schemes, then this one is perfect for you. 

Joker

Now, this is not strictly a Halloween horror, but Todd Phillips’ Joker is bound to give you a few chills down the spine. A physcological-thriller about the inevitable rise of Gotham’s greatest villain, Joker  has been pegged as a 2020 Oscar contender. Lead actor, Joaquin Phoenix is also said to deliver a mind-blowing performance as the psychologically disturbed Arthur Fleck. Fans of the Batman comics and movies will definitely enjoy this one. 

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood

Quentin Tarantino’s 10th directorial blockbuster, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, meshes real life events with fictional characters in a beautiful medley of silver screen nostalgia. Tinged with a deep longing for the Hollywood of the 1950s, this film, which stars Leonardo Dicaprio and Brad Pitt, is set within the context of the Charles Manson Family murders.
